Welcome to my Editing Services website. I am a copyeditor and proofreader specializing in nonfiction, especially natural resource science, and have edited books, newsletters, pamphlets, scientific journals, and manuscripts. I also enjoy working with ESL writers to help them produce a document that looks and sounds like it was written by an American English speaker.
I work for both the author and the reader. My goal in editing is to help make the text more clear, concise, and reader-friendly while maintaining the original style and intent of the author.
My most recent editing adventures include the following:
- Journal of Raptor Research (current): Editorial Assistant
- SWCA Environmental Consultants (current): On-call Assistant Technical Editor
- What's missing for megapodes? Research, advances, and future directions (In Press). Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston, Texas.
- Grant application: Centering Civil Rights Protections to Support Equitable Student Experiences (2023) by Maithreyi Gopalan and Erica Frankenberg, The Pennsylvania State University
- A precipitation reconstruction based on pinyon pine tree rings from the northeastern Mexican subtropic (2022) by Arroyo-Morales, S., et al. Theoretical and Applied Climatology 151: 635-649.
- Expansion of distribution range of the Greater Grison (Galactis vittata) in Mexico (2020) by Contreras-Diaz, C. et al. Therya Notes 2020 1(1):1-4
